2012

The 1st Gothenburg Metabolomics Symposium "Metabolomics in Medicine, Nutrition and Systems Biology"

Metabolomics is the latest addition to Omics technologies and offers opportunities to globally study a large quantity of the metabolites found in an organism using NMR or mass spectrometric techniques in combination with advanced statistical processing of data. Discovering differences in the metabolite profile can give clues to underlying mechanisms for the observed effects and the identification of new biomarkers.

Date: October 29-30,2012

Location: Arvid Carlsson, Academicum, Medicinaregatan 3, Gothenburg

Schedule October 29:
11.30    Registration & Lunch Sandwich
12.30    Opening
12.45    “Metabolomics and the development of new tools to assess
             dietary exposure in population studies
